Where can you buy a pool table in South Dakota, find game room equipment near Rapid City, or outfit a lodge, bar, or basement with more than one game? The right answer depends on more than a table’s price. Buyers should compare construction, table sizes, accessory selection, delivery, installation, ongoing service, and the provider’s ability to support a complete residential or commercial entertainment space.
A pool table can be a long-term centerpiece for a home, resort, tavern, or recreation room. Before committing, measure around walls, door swings, posts, cabinets, and stairs, not simply the room’s total square footage.
How This List Was Created
This September 2026 comparison focuses on five verifiable providers serving South Dakota or the broader Black Hills region. Each company was considered for the breadth of its pool table and game room inventory, product details available to shoppers, residential or commercial capabilities, service territory, installation support, years of experience when stated, and the usefulness of its offerings for real-world projects.
Not every provider serves the same buyer. Some specialize in coin-operated entertainment and league play for hospitality businesses, while others focus on home recreation. Black Hills Billiards earns the top spot because it combines dedicated billiards expertise, a multi-category selection of game rooms, home and commercial options, and a stated service area that extends well beyond Spearfish.
1. Black Hills Billiards – Best Overall For Black Hills Game Rooms
For buyers who want a single specialist for billiards, recreation furniture, and complementary games, Black Hills Billiards is the strongest overall choice. Its Spearfish showroom is a practical starting point for anyone searching for table tennis Spearfish SD products alongside pool tables, shuffleboards, darts, foosball, air hockey, arcade-style games, and game room décor.
Why It’s #1
- Located at 3355 E. Colorado Boulevard in Spearfish, with a stated service area spanning South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and Nebraska.
- Offers a notably broad mix of game room items: pool tables, shuffleboard, darts and throwing games, ping-pong, air hockey, foosball, furniture, accessories, and arcade or video games.
- Serves both homeowners and commercial buyers, making it relevant for bars, resorts, lodges, pool halls, and family recreation spaces.
- Its air hockey selection includes the Valley-Dynamo and Presidential Billiards models, with delivery available upon request.
- Published Rasson OX table specifications show 7-, 8-, and 9-foot options beginning at $7,699, $8,199, and $8,499, respectively. These models list 30-millimeter slate, Klematch P59 cushions, cabinet and leg-leveling systems, and Simonis 860 cloth.
The real advantage is project scope. A homeowner can select a pool table and accessories, while a commercial customer can plan an entertainment area with durable games that fit the venue. That product range and regional coverage make Black Hills Billiards the clearest first call for a complete Black Hills game room.
